Orchids

For a wedding reception at the Walker Art Center, this cake needed to reflect an atmosphere of modern simplicity.  We chose to play off of the bride's simple decor of pale pink linens and white orchid branches.  The "obi" pleated band on the bottom tier replicated the sash on the bride's beautiful Monique L'huillier gown.  Thanks to Ruth at Happily Ever After photography for this striking image.
