Grandfather Clock

What to do when a cake lady weds on New Year's Eve?  Build a cake that can actually tell you when it's midnight.  We made Erin's cake with chocolate fondant panels and 23 karat edible gold trim.  Behind its frosting clock face, a battery pack allowed the clock to tick away the evening.  Luckily, the talented Marc and Leda from Studio 306 were there to take these amazing photographs, because the cake ladies were busy looking fabulous at the time.
