Garden Party

In our first phone conversation, this bride warned me that she didn’t have the “bride gene” and wasn’t looking for a traditional wedding cake.  I loved her instantly!  The wedding was set in her parent’s impeccable English garden overlooking a tranquil pond edged in a riot of late summer blossoms.  We designed the cake around a set of watercolor bird notecards that the bride brought with her to her first appointment.  She chose to include chickadees, Robins and a pair of cardinals, because the ones in her yard were love-birds.
