What to do when a couple loves the outdoors, but books one of the most Chic, Modern, Un-Rustic venues in town?  Create Rustic Elegance.  This cake was inspired by a faux bois cake featured in Martha Stewart Magazine. Once we completed all of the panels, we...absolutely hated it!  It was far too "country" for this event.  We called the bride's coordinators, the fabulous Mimi Designs, who gave us the go ahead to make the cake the way we thought best.  After a long night of searching the internet, a textured paint roller presented itself as our solution. Thank God for FedEx!
