It's true, the more terrifying the cake design, the better it turns out!  I finished my initial consultation with Christina with absolutely no idea how we would pull off this cake.  Fortunately, with time, and my retired father-in-law/cake stand engineer extraordinaire, Phil, we made it look easy.  And yes, all of the scrollwork supports are frosting!
